Avoid wasteful marketing communication

While communicating, the ability to realize that the other person is not paying attention, that he is not listening and then cutting short our communication is a vital one.

It helps in building relationships. And helps avoid hurting them.

But for that, we must be listening. Listening to the verbal and the non-verbal cues coming from the other side.

In marketing also, if we keep our prospective customers bombarding with our same marketing communication again and again, it puts them off. Too much of communication is counter-productive. If we keep saying our message everyday, the consumer won’t buy everyday. It will not increase her consumption rate.

Over communication is worse than no communication. It drives the customers away. Social media gives us a tool to say our story to the audience that we have won. But, bombarding our WhatsApp groups or our FB or Instagram walls with the same repetitive messages is not marketing communication, It is un-marketing. It is wasteful.

We must not overdo anything. Not at all marketing communication.
